Mr Saif Salih is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with a NHS practice at Claremont for hip & knee replacements.
Mr Salih has been a Consultant with the Lower Limb Arthroplasty Unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals since September 2019. He completed a medical training in Oxford University, and has a Masters degree from Cambridge University, and an MD from Bristol University investigating metal-on-metal implants in young patients.
Having completed higher surgical training in Sheffield and South Yorkshire, he undertook a year’s fellowship experience in young adult hip surgery (arthroscopy (keyhole), and periacetabular osteotomy (redirecting the socket of the hip) with Johan Witt in London and has also completed the prestigious Cavendish fellowship in Sheffield in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery.
He has published several papers in these fields, received a Research Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and maintains a research interest in his current practice. He enjoys playing and watching sports especially football and cricket, and you might see him around the city commuting by bicycle!
